BNSSG ICB Clinical Effectiveness team

The Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board (BNSSG ICB) Clinical Effectiveness team are committed to improving care for patients through creating a culture of robust, well-evidenced healthcare commissioning and more impactful research.

They help the ICB evaluate the products and services they commission and to use the most up to date and robust research and evidence to inform commissioning decisions.

The team offers advice and guidance in undertaking evidence reviews, developing service evaluations and supporting important research so the organisation can commission the best available products and services.

The team works closely with colleagues in the University of Bristol, the University of the West of England and across the wider NHS, enabling us to align the research activity of the local universities with the priorities and challenges of the NHS.

The Evaluation and Evidence toolkits go hand in hand. Using and generating evidence to inform decision making is vital to improving services and people’s lives.
